Technical Sale Engineer/BDM – Alarms/Access Control - SA

BGW Technologies is a value add distributor (part of the BGW Group of Companies) and are currently seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in SA to drive our Alarm / Access Control product segment.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining trusting relationships with SI’s, consultants, end users and suppliers.
  • Present and demonstrate at a sales and technical level our range of Intrusion products including DSC, Qolsys,, Kocom, Kantech and associated products.
  • Provide technical and training support to SI’s and to build confidence in our products.
  • Generate new business and sales via email, phone and customer visits.
  • Achieving monthly sales targets and assistance with forecasting.
  • Ability to attend Industry functions and events.
  • Learning and continually developing product knowledge of BGWT’s range of Alarms/Intrusion/IoT products.
  • Work with other BGW Technologies team members to grow and deliver on customer needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • A person of high integrity and strong industry connections.
  • A people person with the ability to form strong relationships and seek new customers
  • Experience in Alarms/Intrusion a must, with Access Control and CCTV an advantage.
  • A positive can do attitude, high work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • A technical understanding of electronic Alarms/Intrusion security products and an interest in IoT technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team.
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Previous experience in the Alarms/Intrusion electronic security industry is essential.
